Her parents were originally from Barbados She began singing in the early years of her life. The singer was disturbed by the mess in her family and constant disagreements with her father. So she began to immerse herself into music. While in high school, the girl formed an ensemble and was a part of the auditions to be a part of Evan Rodgers. Evan Rodgers was blown away by her talent. He asked the girl to relocate into New York in order to pursue a full-time career as a performer, something she gladly did.
