Awkwafina

Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and performer who started her career through innovative raps which addressed gender and ethnic identities from a an edgy, comical perspective. She then expanded to Hollywood. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants within Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was via trumpet. Later, she began the classical and hip-hop genres. Following a focus on education, she graduated with an education in journalism at university and also a women's study specialization. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until after she completed her degree. The song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included in her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. It also included viral hits including body positive Queef & winking home tour NYC Bitche$. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, published in 2015, which was a different initiative. Her resume contained both an musicians and an author. She was now looking to further her career in acting. In addition to early television programs like Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in films like Neighbors2Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed several breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
